In a recent set of studies in the UK, single-hood has become identified as a growing trend in western, developed countries. Many people proclaim that they are happier being single, or that they have negotiated their "status" and face only the silent reprisals of a society that judges them harshly for their choice to live alone. Singles are of all ages and stem from all backgrounds. Some are "in relationships", but choose to maintain separate, "single" households. Some have no desire to ever become involved or become married, a sort of new cloistered set of professionals.

Some ideas that will be explored on this show:

1. What do people find attractive about being single?
2. What are the affects of this trend on our western society?
3. How does this trend promote or destroy a peaceful existence?
4. What are the real hazards of single-hood?
5. What does this bode for our future as a species?
